| William P. Rodgers, 76, of 906 Grand Avenue, died at 5:45 p.m. |
| Wednesday at Muscatine General hospital after a brief illness. |
| Born Oct. 13, 1885, in Muscatine county, he was a life resident of |
| this community. He was the son of Matthew and Mary Dowdal Rodgers |
| Mr. Rodgers was a retired trucker. |
| He was married, Aug. 7, 1909 at Davenport, to Etta Eis. |
| Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Etta Rodgers, Muscatine; five |
| daughters, Mrs. Darlene Broderson, Mrs. Thelma Hawk, and Mrs. Mabel |
| Maylone, all of Muscatine, Mrs. Vioteta Rehbehn of Whittier, Calif., and |
| Mrs. Dorothy Neywelle of Muscatine; one brother, Charles Rodgers of |
| Lewiston, Ida., two sisters, Mrs. Florence Graney of Perry and Mrs. Irene |
| Sanbdman of Wilton, 14 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. |
| He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother and |
| two sisters. |
| The body is now at the Fairbanks chapel where friends may call |
| starting at 10 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. |
| Saturday at the Fairbanks chapel, with Rev. Stephen Root in charge. |
| Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. |
